Two sofa/laptop tables crafted from a bookmatched piece of Spalted Maple. This particular piece of wood was from a tree that had fallen in my in-laws yard years prior. After cutting out the unusable parts and drying the remainder to acceptable levels, this particular section was resawn into matching pieces and combined with angular Walnut bases. The tables allow for the feet to slide underneath a bed or sofa and for the surface to be used for writing, computing, or even eating. A water-based finish prevents any unnecessary yellowing of the white Maple wood.
