Based in Chattanooga, TN, Boreal Woodworks was established by Nathan Kolb in 2013 with the purpose of producing long-lasting furniture, crafts and home goods. Eschewing the preconceived need for unblemished lumber, our methodology instead focuses on highlighting the natural character of the wood used, with all of its 'flaws' and eccentricities.

Blessed with an abundance of beautiful forests in the surrounding area, we are able to offer a variety of locally obtained woods for your project. Black Walnut, Cherry, White Oak, Ash, Maple and more are available from nearby mills utilizing sustainable practices. By keeping our sources local we hope to continue to contribute to our community of producers and artisans with less reliance on global goods.
